The producers originally wanted Laurence Olivier as Thomas More and Alec Guinness as Wosley, but Director Fred Zinnemann insisted on Paul Scofield and Orson Welles in the roles.  The rest is history.  Zinnemann obviously knew how to direct a great film and a huge box office success. http://kc1.edu.my/dedecms/plus/view.php?aid=22776 Eighth, the sound in the film was terrible. There were times when it was impossible to understand the dialog and, without this essential element, there is no way the film would be rated good by my standards. Sound is too basic of a need to succeed and, when it goes unnoticed because it is well done, it is not an issue.
Interestingly, Charlton Heston lobbied heavily for the role of Sir Thomas More, but was not seriously considered.  Richard Burton was offered the part and turned it down. http://cloudmmog.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=25959 Great effort is made to convince More to change his stance on Henry VIII's action.  One of More's rivals, Thomas Cromwell (Leo McKern); another religious, Cardinal Wolsey (Orson Welles); and The Duke of Norfolk (Nigel Davenport) all take their turns at More.
Lost in Translation follows Bob Harris (Bill Murray), a fading American film actor with a humdrum marriage, who is in Tokyo to do a Japanese whiskey commercial.  He meets Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson), a recently college graduate in philosophy and the bored wife of a photographer doing a shoot in Tokyo. http://www.cqbolegu.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=7459 Copyright © 2007 Ed Bagley
First, there is a reason why the immortal "Gone with the Wind", which involved a turbulent love affair in the American south during the Civil War and Reconstruction, took almost 4 hours to see. You apparently cannot make a quality, classic film about the Civil War in less time. Ken Burns' acclaimed documentary film "The Civil War" consisted of 9 episodes and took 11 hours to view. http://www.wuming4.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=76316 Thankfully, this opening was not a precursor to the film, which sought to explore a more important issue: the meaning of life.  As two unhappy individuals in their roles, both Murray and Johansson struggle to find real meaning in their current circumstances.
One viewer wrote this about the film, "Overall the film is just perfect. The acting, the direction, the soundtrack, plot, themes, humor, visuals . . . what's not to like?" http://bbs.sporttery.cn/home.php?mod=space&uid=491794 Copyright © 2009 Ed Bagley
If you did not know already each program of Planet Earth is one hour long. So once I put in Planet Earth to examine on our HDTV I went to the menu of the premiere disk for the premier broadcast. As you can ideate it was quite awesome how fine the illustration looked. http://78yueye.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=64884 In the opening of it, it shows Angel ..."the highestl water downfall in 4he world. Then it starts to break off from there and shows the extraordinary animals that live in the freshwater surroundings.
Unfortunately for the "Kingdom of Heaven", what started out as an ambitious epic film about a little known time in history, became an almost disaster at its release and was only average at best. There is enough blame to spread around. http://pakocraft.com/activity/p/74288/ Some of the animals they record in the picture looks as if they are right there close to them and the animals are not even being disturbed by them being around. It is genuinely the most amazing flick ïf its type. One program that really impressed me is the freshwater one.

When Saladin's soldiers enter the City of Jerusalem, they were not allowed to kill civilians, rob people, or damage the city.
Despite winning an Oscar for her original screenplay, Sofia Coppola does not give the substance I expect.  Hollywood pours out awards for her effort, and to me it only reflects why Hollywood is called Tinseltown, all show, confusion and stress without real substance. http://mbarshow.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=6309 Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" lost the same nomination as Murray.  I would have voted for Johnny Depp as Best Actor rather than Sean Penn.
